Ryan Edwards police report reveals Teen Mom star was caught with heroin and FOURTEEN syringes in car
Ryan Edwards was busted with heroin and FOURTEEN syringes.
The Teen Mom star's police report, obtained by Radar, revealed he was caught with 1.8g of the drug in a plastic baggie and loaded into one of the needles.
The 30-year-old MTV star, who went to rehab for heroin addiction last year, was pulled over in Tennessee on Tuesday for an expired tag.
Trouble: Teen Mom OG star Ryan Edwards was arrested on drug-related charges on Wednesday, just as it was reported his wife is pregnant with their first child
While one officer spoke to him, the other noticed a syringe in an open backpack on the passenger seat.
'I asked Edwards if he had any medical conditions and he replied, "No", the officer wrote in his report.
'I then asked why he had a hypodermic needle in his backpack and he replied, "I don’t know."
'I told them that the vehicle will be searched and he should inform me if there are more and Edwards replied, "Yes, probably."
Booked: Ryan was arrested in Tennessee after breaking probation related to a past simple possession of heroin charge
After finding 14 needles, a scale and two spoons with residue, police found the bag with a 'dark substance' inside.
The officer wrote: 'I asked Edwards what it was and he replied, "heroin and I have a problem."
Contrary to earlier reports, it appears Edwards was not arrested; instead he was issued with a misdemeanor citation for possession of heroin and paraphernalia, and given an April 10 court date.
On the heroin charge he was subsequently given a suspended sentence of one year in jail; pending good behavior and payment of a $750 fine; the paraphernalia and expired tags charges were dismissed.
